EPTAC got their new banner ad by running a design contest:
Create a clean and fresh banner campaign for our Electronics Design Certification
Check out EPTAC's Banner ad contest…
We are a training and consulting company for the electronics industry. Basically we provide solder training and IPC (our licensing body) certification to folks that design and assembly electronic components on to printed circuit boards. Our web site is http://www.eptac.com and http://www.eptaccanada.ca. We train predominately through the United States and Canada.
What's your vision?
I am looking for a redesign of our ads for the printed circuit board designer training programs. These programs can be found through the following links: http://www.eptac.com/events/ipc-designer-certification/ http://www.eptac.com/events/ipc-advanced-designer-certification/ The ads should be generic so that they can be used for any of the classes. I am including the ads we currently are running. All are GIF files and are of different sizes. I am thinking of some type of campaign that has the words "Design with Confidence". I am trying to do a play on words. We want people to see this as their next step as a printed circuit board designer to become certified with the leading industrial certification. If you have another thought, by all means submit it if you understand the industry or terminology. You might have to include the IPC Training Center logo as well, but I am not sure. Guess it is dependent on the design and space. Obviously you have to include ours. I understand that 99 does not allow for GIFs, so statics are fine. There are many sizes, so keep that in mind when you design. The smaller sizes (120x90 and 70x55) usually are much simpler and accompany a text ad describing the program, so they have little text, just a branding image. You will have to provide all the sizes in the ads. They are: 728x90 468x60 300x600 300x250 165x165 160x300 125x125 120x90 70x55 So we are trying to freshen up the ads. Make it cool and appealing to click on. Entice them enough to wonder and click. You all know the drill. Hey, it's marketing.... We market in the following publications: http://www.circuitnet.com http://www.ipcoutlook.org http://www.smtonline.com http://www.circuitsassembly.com http://www.canadianelectronics.ca http://www.pcbdesign007.com/pages/pcbdesign007.cgi http://pcdandf.com/cms/ Hope this gives you some background and help with the market and technology. I know this is not a glamorous topic. Pretty dull and boring, but we have become the leading provider in the world for this, so someone is paying attention. We just want to build the brand and spread the word and we need your help.
I will include a couple of the previously run ads. Looking for a new look I guess. I will also include any necessary logos.
