Working with Venanzio has been a great experience. He is solid and competent in his delivery and quick to respond to questions and requests. His design stood out from all the others in how different it was from the majority. He was the only one that took the back cover design one step further and integrated our personal symbol into it as well as the front.
Our topic is hope and I believe the use of graphics and light truly inspires hope in people who look at the cover.
- Makak Studios
Hired Makak Studios for a 1-2-1 project after he won a webdesign contest. Very pleased with the quality of his work and professional approach.
The designer is talented, easy to work with, and responds in a timely manner.
Alek did a great job capturing ideas that I had for my cover! He was also quick to respond and make changes when asked! I would definitely invite him to work on future projects!
How kestenharris started their book cover journey
The Blue Barricade
Kesten E. Harris
Kesten Harris is an aspiring writer. He's very passionate about hitting keyboard keys until it makes a story, and then forgetting to hit save. After a decade of writing as a hobby, he's trying to get his first book published to accomplish his lifelong dream of being an author.
Young Adult, Fiction
A year ago, Wander Locke lost his family to the galaxy's deadliest aliens, the Aggressive Intellectuals, or AI. His parent's bodies were found, but his sister's wasn't. For the chance to find her, he'll embark on a quest to recover a powerful shield generator from a band of rebels. Along the way, he'll uncover dark secrets about his galaxy, his friends, and himself.
I think my book would suit 12 to 20-year-old mostly men, but also women in the United States who are looking for a good story that focuses on family and what it means to be one.
Book cover type
This one looks like it'd be good on a bookshelf. I feel like it's missing something to catch your eye, but otherwise it's very nice.
I like that the title takes up the whole cover here. It may not be unique, but it looks good.
I love the simplistic but also stylish approach to this one.
I love collected this one seems, like every element had a specific purpose.
I love the scope of this one. It makes the story feel epic even though I haven't read it.
The environment and colors on this one are great. Its simplicity works.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Any font that is easy and simple to read but with thick letters, like TT Tunnels. I would like blue to be the primary color of the cover, with a mood that's somewhat dark but not too dark or depressing. I want the imagery to make people think of space, and science fiction in general. Some sort of wide space ship, or a young man as the eyecatcher would be nice.
