cmatakas got their new book cover by running a design contest:
Create an awesome cover for the book #Human -Learning To Live in Modern Times
Check out cmatakas's Book cover contest…
This is a book broken down into three parts: 1- Transcending the Self, 2- Redefining the world in which we live, 3- Creating a fulfilling life. This is a sort of "How To" book for being Human. Target audience is any adult looking to improve their quality of life.
What's your vision?
Greetings Friends, The title of this book is #Human. The subtitle is Learning to Live in Modern Times. I envision a cover which is a modern play on the greek myth of Sisyphus. Sisyphus was condemned by the gods to ceaselessly roll a boulder up the hill for all of eternity. This is a perfect parable for modern times. I envision the cover to be a modern day sisyphus (wearing a suit, tie, etc.) rolling a boulder up the hill( ascending from left to right), but the boulder is some sort of combination of modern struggles ( i.e. the self, suffering, love vs. fear, time, service, purpose, relationships, social media/technology, etc.) I would love to see your creative flow make this a reality!
I really like the feel of this editorial cartoon, and would love to see the cover a much more detailed version of something similar to this. Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or ideas.
