Splendiferously was an absolute joy to work with. You could tell they really cared about the project and their work as they were constantly available to offer edits and new designs. I had asked for several different edits and versions and Splendiferously never complained and right away got working on them, delivering them in a timely manner. I also really liked the style of their work as it was clean and minimalistic, just as I had asked for in my brief. 10/10 would recommend working with Splendiferously :)
How mfalcone413 started their book cover journey
Melissa C. Falcone
Melissa is 21 years and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. She spent a year studying in Italy and New York and she currently studies in Boston, Massachusetts. She spends time reading, cooking, doing yoga and playing sports. She is passionate about photography and traveling! With much inspiration, she built up the courage to tell her story, give advice and share her own personal insights about the controversy revolving around the LGBTQ+ community.
I have constructed concepts about The Spectrum and LGBTQ+ world. My book is set up as a self-help guide and includes information about myths, stereotyping, and advice on how to deal with controversy in the LGBTQ+ community. My book looks at "how to deal with bullies" and includes quotes from activists and personal stories from my own life.
Typically, teenagers and young adults. Anyone in the LGBTQ+ community who is looking for support, advice or just a casual read to enlighten themselves.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Include rainbow colors somehow. I want something simplistic, eye-catching and colorful. Something bold. Yes, this is an LGBTQ+ book but I want people who are not in the community to feel they can relate to the inspiration in the book as well.
What to avoid
I don't want the design to be too dramatic, but since it is a LGBTQ+ book. INCLUDING THE RAINBOW is good.
