WOW. Aleksandar is detail oriented and highly creative. Our project was for a book layout, and he delivered beyond our expectations. We will be hiring him again very soon.
How joe.gaebel started their book cover journey
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The target audience is self-help enthusiasts, and your average passer by. I'm expecting the age range to be early 20's to early 40's.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I've written a self help book called Bridging the Gap Between Strangers, which is a method I developed for becoming what I call "Socially Integrated".
The goal is to provide a guide for transforming the experience of loneliness and isolation into the feeling of belonging and connection. The goal is to teach people how to create meaningful relationships and deep connections.
I want people to identify with their loneliness, feel hope that the book has the answer, and excited to experience the connection that they crave.
In terms of imagery, I think that something could be done with bridges, or maybe something more personal with hands about to shake. I’m not tied to either of these ideas though.
The book cover needs to stand out. Remarkability is very important.
I'm pretty open in terms of design. I'm hoping to cater to the self-help scene, but with appeal to the average Joe. Being eye catching and standing out is important. Solid imagery is also important. A main symbol or picture feels right, however I'm definitely open to alternatives. Creative freedom, go for it!
