What's your vision?
I need a cover design for a short paperback anthology of writing by faculty. Title: Teaching Off the Beaten path. Interior pages are formatted to be 5.06 x 7.81 inches. This project is a self-published trial run (experiment) and being printed via Amazon CreateSpace. The intended audience for the anthology is university administrators, tenured faculty, parents, and the community. The cover needs to be high-impact, yet simple. Back cover needs space for ISBN #, blurbs, and brief description of the anthology.
I have no experience with covers, but have researched recent design winners. Links are below for several that I simply liked. Attached are three very basic sketches. Somewhere in all of that, there has to be a cover... • http://image.oregonlive.com/home/olive-media/width960/img/oregonian/photo/2016/04/12/-a3dd370158b878c2.jpg • https://librarianarika.files.wordpress.com/2016/01/float-daniel-miyares.jpg • https://www.clmp.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/alimon_brightdeadthings.jpg • http://events.berkeley.edu/images/user_uploads/0_PrizeBookCover.jpg • https://epl.bibliocms.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/18/2016/03/Sistering.jpg • https://i.ytimg.com/vi/CwBkvX0ruTU/hqdefault.jpg • http://readingtime.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/pause.jpg
