Magicball did a great job of developing a new PowerPoint template for us with slide formats that will work for many different types of information. We will definitely use him again.

- Surya Marley
Surya was a pleasure to work with and I found the approach to be of extra value. While I offered a 700 word document, Surya edited my copy for greater impact and created images with an organizing design that was quite fabulous. Surya was also very responsive to my editing requests. I would certainly recommend Surya and would work with her again.
How SHAPE-Fil started their brochure journey
Who are you known as?
PHS Design Studios
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
PHS Design Studios is an innovative architecture firm founded more than a century ago. Throughout these years we have grown, evolved by integrating engineering, interior design and landscape architecture and currently are working towards our goal of becoming the preeminent national education design firm. As we put a physical representation of our work in front of potential clients, we need our brochure design to reflect our values, beliefs, innovations and client-focused relationships.
In the professional services industry we are first highlighting our expertise, experience and dedication instead of presenting a ‘product’ the client will consider ‘buying’. Many of our clients evaluate potential architects based on the holistic representation of the brochure (proposal) we present them; we need to compete nationally while providing personalized brochures (proposals) that make a lasting impression.
Our target audiences are mainly professionals and decision makers involved in both K-12 and Higher education institutions. For many of them, this may be the only interaction we have with them. So the brochure has to convey our wealth of experience and expertise in a visually engaging and memorable way.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the brochure?
We've attached some samples that we found as inspirations. We want a more modern look and feel but still be professional and readable. We are looking for a more magazine look and feel that has a balance of photography and text. We'd like to take advantage of full bleed look as well.
Brochure to design
Letter sized, portrait, double sided design.
What to avoid
We've attached some samples of our current brochure design so as not to repeat what we've done. We also don't want pages too crowded with photos or imagery. There needs to be a balance and suitable white space. We've included our logo for you to use as well.
