LEAN is an open source project uniting 60,000 engineers worldwide. It is an algorithmic trading engine which lets people write computer programs to invest in the stockmarkets. We are a global community - roughly half of the community is from the US. They write "algorithms" / investment strategies which trade stocks, forex, options, and futures automatically in the financial markets. QuantConnect is the company behind LEAN. We were founded in 2012 and are a bootstrapped team formed from members of the LEAN community. We've made a website where these engineers ("quants") connect, talk, help each other to design investment strategies (quantconnect.com). We are seeking a brochure about LEAN - the open source technology behind QuantConnect. The target audience are hedge funds who might adopt the technology for their use. They are sophisticated, predominantly male, engineers, scientists, mathematicians and project managers. They are looking to learn about the features and power of the LEAN engine. Seeking evidence they can use to make a decision to use it in their fund. The open-source platform is here! https://github.com/QuantConnect/Lean LEAN has 960 forks (people build their own versions off our foundation) and 1900 stars - people following the open source repo and watching the work happen.
- High tech feel would be nice - Relatively simple. - Infographic-like. - Perhaps icons or illustrations on the key technology features - We have an existing color scheme for the *website* but don't feel obliged to follow that for the brochure. The website colors are here: https://quantconnect.com https://quantconnect.com/alpha https://www.quantconnect.com/docs - The only part which *must* be in the brochure is the LEAN Logo. I have attached it to the design brief. - I've made important text highlighted in bold in the powerpoint attachment. - The readers are very busy. If we can simplify and fit in 3-4 pages its great. - Stock photos are not timeless; they can look cheesy. Abstract styles preferred I think as they are more timeless. The brochure will be delivered over email 99% of the time. 1% of the time we'll print it for trade fairs etc so people have a handout to take with them. Because of this, we think a multi-page PDF document is probably the easiest way to consume the information.
What to avoid
Clutter; I put in full sentences to the powerpoint but don't feel like you need to use them.
