Fun & Educational mobile apps for babies & toddlers
What's your vision?
- Set of app logos for iOS for 'first words' educational app for babies - App is on store if you want to look: ABC Baby Babble. Basically kids & parents swipe through hundreds of colorful photos of various objects (car, dog, bed, apple, etc.), and can read what the object is and hear the word spoken in audio. Difference vs. most similar apps is that they either use cartoons, photos of isolated objects on backgrounds, or poor quality photos and very 'dumbed-down' objects. Ours are fully licensed, high quality photos of objects in context, and include words relevant to the modern world like 'Drone' and 'VR'. - Will need creative for ads afterwards, and perhaps a few app screens, and we have more projects in the pipeline, so good opportunity if you are looking for long-term client. - Colorful & attention-grabbing icon, must convey quality to drive downloads. Generally prefer simpler icons to over-detailed ones. - Many of the apps/books in the category go for icons based on photos of a few objects on flat, colored backgrounds (which is essentially what they offer inside - see attached example). If you want to try this direction, I think that might be good, but please make sure the logo can stand out from the rest. Other apps try having colorful ABC blocks - generally don't think those look very good, and not very creative. - Our amateur-made icon (attached, made in 20min just to have something to put on the app) tried to go in the direction of a baby talking, and the shape of the head is a bit like a speech-bubble, while trying to keep the icon clean. It is poorly executed and the blue background makes the whole thing feel sad & washed-out: needs to be colorful and exciting. So another option is to improve on this (a lot), making it more colorful and professional. Having an actual speech-bubble in there might help. - As a completely different direction, an icon centered around a speech-bubble, but of course somehow making clear that this is a fun baby app rather than a messaging app, might work. - Going in completely different direction is fine too! Be creative. - Don't worry about the color scheme we are using - feel free to use other colors and we can easily change the color-scheme within the app accordingly. - Deliverable is vector set of icons in all iOS standard sizes.
