99designs will be volunteering for a non-profit called Super Stars Literacy (SSL). Super Stars Literacy provides high impact literacy and social-emotional programming to Kindergarten through 2nd grade students in low-income communities in the Bay Area. Learn more on their website: http://www.superstarsliteracy.org/ For this design project, we will be giving stickers to boys and girls who are in Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade — so please make your illustrations are imaginative, playful and diverse.
What's your vision?
We need sticker designs! What did you dream about being (or doing) as a child? Tap into your childhood imagination then create an illustration that is future-focused, playful and inspiring for K-2nd grade, low-income children who are learning to read. - - - - - ILLUSTRATION INSPIRATION These stickers should help kids imagine all the possibilities of their future. We do NOT want human characters — examples of things you can use to depict a child's future-self: • animals • superheroes • imaginary, colorful characters • magicians, monsters, etc. • trains, airplanes, cars • toys, books, etc. • cool places like space • (insert your imaginative idea here) - - - - - STYLE We are open to a variety of styles as long as it's appropriate for kids — keep it playful. We'd like your design to be more illustrative (no typography). Attached images are only for inspiration. - - - - - SPECS • We will be using stickermule to print (make sure your designs fit their standards): https://www.stickermule.com/custom-stickers • We're thinking about printing Circle stickers but we're open to other shapes • Illustrations should be 100% original (no stock!) • Feel free to stick to our brand colors, but we're ultimately open to whatever color palette you think • Please incorporate the "99d" version of our logo (make it subtle and secondary): https://99designs.com/branding Winning designers will be asked to submit print-ready, layered/vector version of their design (300DPI, CMYK).
KEEP IN MIND: • Designs should be gender-neutral • Designs should target small children (illustrations and no text) • No human characters, please show diversity through another type of character (i.e. animals reading a book, a shooting star playing in space, etc.) • Attached images are strictly for style inspiration.
