I’d like your help with creating an info graphic. I don't want to draw my project because I don't want to influence how you design it but I have to help you but please read this FIRST. What I need to visually show is this:
-> If you write your press release in technical jargon, you reach a limited audience (only people who understand it).
-> On the other hand, if you write your press release in language that the general public understands, you reach more people.
--> I want to show the process:
1. you send a press release
2. websites, social media, journalists, etc. pick it up.
3. if no one understands it, few journalists and other people write articles, cover it, etc.
4. if many people understand it, more people/journalists write about it, more social media coverage, more of your non-targets (marketing and salespeople, other colleagues and even friends and acquaintances see the release and say "oh, xyz could find this interesting" and pass it along.
Many businesses think that if they don't explain what their product IS, they lose their chance. But, my opinion is that they need to explain what their product (technology) can help their customers DO. A press release is just the tip of the iceberg: it gets a conversation started!
