Redshift is a venture capital (investment) firm.
Redshift is a phenomenon: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redshift that proves that the universe is expanding. The firm's investment thesis is that the opportunity to invest is expanding as well.
The logo does not need to have the color "red" in it as a requirement, as the phenomenon of redshift happens across all colors of the spectrum. Showing spectrum waves as a brand artifact could be interesting.
If you choose to have color, the logo should definitely work in black/white as well.
The company likes space motifs in general. Everyone is very nerdy. The company likes clean minimalist aesthetic.
Selection / preferences for brand work that includes potentially reusable artifacts (like glyphs) that can be used in a presentation materials.
Versatility is key - we will want the winner to develop a brand book as well.
Please do not submit anything that looks like typical "investment" logos such as greek columns/banks/coin/etc. This should be something fun that people can wear on a tshirt and not look lame.
