Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Seneca Woodworking is a brand of high quality, precision engineered woodworking tools and accessories. Many of our accessories are designed to work in conjunction with Festool brand woodworking tools. If you're not familiar, Festool is like the Apple or Ferrari of the tool industry. We try to embody the same principles of quality, design and engineering along with quality manufacturing. Our customers tend to be woodworking craftsmen and artists who are among the best at their trade.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
In the example logos section I attached logos of companies in our industry that I like the look of. I really like the Valfor Tools logo. The direction I'm leaning towards at this point is a pictorial mark, however I'm not sure what picture embodies the values of our company. I like the general "strength" their castle seems to convey and I think I would prefer something general over something that creates an assumption about specific products we make (eg, a sawblade). A picture that conveys a value or method we value would be better (knowledge, precision, quality, design, engineering, creativity, etc)
in the end if I can't find a picture I like, a word mark or emblem might be a more appropriate logo. Festool and Woodpeckers are two companies in the same market (we make accessories for Festool, and Woodpeckers is a company that does things similar to ours.) However I like how companies like Rockwell and Powermatic use emblems.
