We are a sustainable aviation company led by Erik Lindbergh, grandson of Charles Lindbergh. Our projects include a 2016 flight from New York to Shanghai in a floatplane powered by alternative fuels, and a quiet flight program using electric aircraft to demonstrate silent flight technologies over the Grand Canyon. We also have strong partnerships with science and technology education institutions and will be filming documentary videos about our programs.
We like the look of the current Powering Imagination logo, but it has too much detail to be versatile for use on: web, signs, shirts, and business cards. Also, we are more aviation-focused vs. space focused so the rocket isn't quite the right image. We do like the parabolic arc-shaped path the rocket takes in the current logo, which is also the shape of an embryo, representing the birth of new technologies and the birth of the company.
We want a logo that can be scaled up or down and still be very recognizable when embroidered on a polo shirt or when represented on a large sign at an airshow. The logo will also be used on the tail of aircraft.
Aviation and sustainability are very important principles for us. The logo should ideally have a link to both concepts.
The logo should work both with the words "Powering Imagination" or on its own, and we would like to see both versions.
The logo should be able to be represented and recognizable in 1 color when necessary (i.e. simple embroidery) but most of the time it will be represented in color. Blue, Black, and Orange are all colors that link to our heritage as a company.
Other concepts or words that are meaningful to us include:
