Newbies in social media helps people get started with social media and learning how to effectively use it both personally and professionally.
Our target audience is adults and professionals, but we want to keep a cool, hip vibe like the way we styled the site using the grid style. We specifically designed the tiles to look glossy, lighted, vibrant and dimensional.

Please take a look at my site http://www.newbiesinsocialmedia.com. The bee logo I currently have is what I want to replace. I like the concept of the bee, but it is too cutesy and I don't like the black and yellow. I want the new logo to match the design and style of the site and the feel of the tiles.
I am trying to get a bee that is more retro-futuristic, sleek, sophisticated that has dimensionality ( almost 3D style), NOT cartoon or comic style. I want to have the logo pop so it doesn't look flat against the site, maybe even back lit. It would be cool if the bee had one LED eye (as attached pic).
