We want to convey the idea of 2 things that are different and independent but that fit well together. The intention is to convey a strong bond, a good fit, or 2 things combining to create something new / different / better. ***High points will be given to any designs that cleverly apply Gestalt theory, which often uses negative space (the last 3 examples we included in the sample logos are not logos - but are clear examples of Gestalt theory we like).
We prefer styles that are clean, bold, simple and somewhat abstract or symbolic, and not too ornate or cartoony.
We envision an abstract/pictorial mark plus a word mark for the brand name (either 2Tattoos or 2TAT2s), or alternatively, an emblem style logo.
If an abstract/pictorial logo, it should be able to stand alone as a clear identifier for the brand without the accompanying word mark being required on all media. To that end, the name *can* be incorporated for an emblem-style logo (either 2Tattoos or 2TAT2s), but if not, then the complete logo submission should include the abstract/pictorial mark plus a word mark. We think we favor the pictorial logo on the left and the word mark beside it, but we are not necessarily fixed on that.

We attached files we are currently using below, including an admittedly awful set of early sketches for an emblem-style logo using puzzle pieces and the 2TAT2 name. This stemmed from an initial concept to use our "Puzzle Me" tattoo design to double as the brand logo, with the name incorporated into the design. We like the concept in principle but it was just a preliminary idea that we could not attractively actualize.
We look forward to your designs and thank you for your participation.
