I have lots of examples of animals and the letter B, light bulbs and dissolving bits. I want to see more original submissions. Most of what I'm seeing now is just variations of what other people have already submitted. If you want to win this contest you'll need to show me something new and original. Take a chance here, trust your instincts and go with a clever idea that is not based on the existing designs. You got this.
I have lots of animal submissions already. I'd like to see more ideas that don't use animals. The lightbulb entry and B entry are great examples.
The company name BURYIT needs a little explanation. We don't bury stuff in the dirt or sell shovels. My last name is Marksbury, I work in IT, and it's a play on words in a sense. I believe with the right visual concept, the name can convey the idea that we take your company's business needs, hide the difficult details, and provide solutions -- i.e. the difficult stuff is out of sight, or buried, and we handle it so you don't have to.
WHAT I DO/DO NOT WANT
I don't want the name of the company to be the primary component of the logo -- I'd like the logo to stand on its own but also work well with the company name. Please include the name of the company in your submissions (in a typeface that is complimentary), but make sure the logo will function without it. This squirrel logo is a perfect example - it stands on its own but will function just as well with a company name below it (https://static.skillshare.com/uploa…9/a3fe6c0c).
I'd like the image to convey the concept outlined above, but that is not a requirement. I'll lean more towards an interesting image that does not convey the concept as opposed to a less interesting image that does.
WHAT I DO/DO NOT LIKE
I like minimalist modern designs. The squirrel logo above is a great example of the style I lean toward. The Firefox logo is an example of something I DON'T like -- lots of colors, gradients, and texture. Less is more with me.
I prefer an original image for the logo component so please don't use stock images. If you need to purchase a typeface for the company name portion, that's OK so long as it does not exceed $25 USD.
This is my first contest, so forgive me if this is obvious, but I need the final product delivered as a vector file and not a JPG as it will be used in many different sizes and mediums.
Thanks for your help and looking forward to your creations!
