I think Ian came up with something that was both catchy and clean for THE LATEST. Simple is always good, and I think Ian nailed that. I really like the way he tucked the word "the" in between the "l" and "t" of the word "latest." Though Ian lives far away, I hope to meet him someday. Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
TheLatest.com is a soon-to-launch site all about "the latest" -- the latest news, the latest gossip, the latest gadgets, the latest anything. Our focus will be on what's timely, important, relevant -- the kinds of items people might actually talk about with one another during the day. We seek to be authoritative without being elitist or stodgy. Some of our pages will be serious; some will be fun. By coming to thelatest.com, users will be able to "get it all, all in one place." We strive for simplicity. People are drowning in information; we want to make it quick and easy for people to catch up on all "the latest."

We do have some ideas we've been working on but something seems missing. We don't want to "taint" your thinking with ours. If you come close but we're still not quite there, that would be a good time for us to share with you what we've done; maybe our ideas and yours could be blended into something better. But we're completely open to something brand new. We hope to become a major destination site and want to be taken seriously. We are an as-yet-unfunded startup. Though we can't pay much now we'll do better by you later once we have money. This is important to us.
