hill.sallyj got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a simple design for an Indonesian language speech competition

National Australia Indonesia Language Awards
NAILA stands for the National Australia Indonesia Language Awards. As the name indicates NAILA is a national Indonesian speech competition which is open to Australians of all ages and educational backgrounds. NAILA is an initiative of the Australia-Indonesia Youth Association. NAILA aims to reward, showcase and encourage the learning of Indonesian as a second language by providing monetary prizes and incentives to those who compete in the speech competition.
Other color requirements
Royal blue, lime green, dark turquoise
The logo will preferably be clear, simple and sophisticated with a bit of character. I would like to use the acronym "NAILA" as the key word but preferably be able to include/integrate the full name "National Australia Indonesia Language Awards" in an optional easy add on. Prefer pictorial or abstract mark logo. Would like the design and colour scheme to fit in with our existing initiatives (www.aiya.org.au and www.causindy.org). I like clean lines and shapes. Abstract designs are also nice. If you know about Indonesia and can make the design related that would be great too. Some examples to google are "cirebon batik" and "wayang kulit". It could look good using the "cirebon batik" cloud (see image below) as the basis for a speech bubble or icon above NAILA. Otherwise a retro microphone might also work. I would like the design to be able to reverse colours (as in the BoxView example attached). Please view the samples I liked provided by 99 designs and the samples I attached. I hope you can help us to create a fantastic design for a well intentioned not-for-profit organisation.
