How nate-mayven started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Mayven is an ‘Engineering led, full-service digital agency’ (Note: the engineering piece here is important as we’ll want to speak the visual and verbal vernacular of development and modern engineering)
How that will translate into key messaging:
‘We build the future’ (Note: notice the confidence and emphasis on building / dev)
‘Where design and engineering meet’ (Note: See how this helps to reinforce the elevated positioning)
I think it’s also helpful to keep in mind the definition of the word ‘Mayven’ which is ‘one who is experienced or knowledgeable, an expert.’
Given the above, the brand identity should feel and communicate:
As an Expert
Have a sense of progressiveness / edge
Not afraid to be bold when necessary
Have winks and sublet nods throughout (think like an Easter egg in a video game)
We want to come from a position of strength, especially as we are working to move past our current client size and be a more full-scale solution for larger clients.
See our capabilities deck attached which is how we present ourselves to clients currently.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
Use existing palette from mayvendev.com + yellow accent color
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Like the all caps and use of color + the triangle as the 'A'. Would like to see it more angular (not so rounded).
Would like to see it more angular (not so rounded).
Like the outline approach. Would like to see it more angular (not so rounded). Possibly incorporating yellow.
We're looking for a more designed mark vs just type set logo.
Color Palette: I believe the combination of the blues works well with the darker as the base and the lighter blues as support (see the attached screenshot of the booklet - love this: https://d.pr/i/hmNSYV). I also love the use of more white and think the accent color will help tremendously. Try to explore the use of Yellow as an accent color
