So far Scalepoint has not invested heavily in communications and marketing because the idea has been that it is Scalepoint’s customers who need to “shine” and not the company itself. This, however, needs to change as the company embarks on a new “growth journey seeking to expand its customer based outside the Nordics.
Scalepoint has so far tried to position itself as “start-up” or “disrupter” that can help insurance companies or “dinosaurs” move into the “digital age”. Scalepoint would like to continue to portray itself in this way, but only to a certain extend. With a 15 year track record and a solid product the company has “matured” and it is now also also targeting larger customers across Europe and this calls for a slightly more “corporate” conservative appeal.
Currently the visual identity of Scalepoint is heavily influence by animation, which has proven somewhat difficult to maintain on a daily basis and also portrays the company somewhat naive. We are looking for:
• Suggestion for a new logo plus a logo “icon” (which we do not have today). However, if designers are able to create a distinct way to write “Scalepoint” (or integrate an element within the typography itself) we may opt for a version without an “element”! Different versions (negative for black background etc would be needed).
After the contest in a 1-to-1 project we are interested in the following work:
• Color scheme (palette)
• Suggestion for corporate typography
• In parallel to this contest we are also looking at establishing a new photo identity with real people. (not part of this project, but perhaps good for you to know).
