Skilanko got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Help design a logo for 'SpotCaption'

We offer Closed-Captioning and Subtitling Services. Specifically, we Close-Caption TV commercials (also referred to as TV spots). That means we add the text that you see on TV when you hit the 'CC' button on your remote. We also subtitle videos - like the ones you can view on store-bought DVDs. The industry would be: Television Media/Video Broadcast or Video Post Production
Logo types to explore
Hello Designers, 'SpotCaption' is a sister company to 'MediaCaption'. Neither brand has a web site yet (we're working on that) but I've included 2 logos for you to see. These are the logos we use for MediaCaption. They were created about 2 years ago by a company in Kansas City, Missouri-USA. I gave them little or no direction at all but they came through rather nicely. The SpotCaption logo colors need to differ from the MediaCaption colors since we're not necessarily trying to make it obvious that the 2 brands live under the same umbrella - though we're not trying to hide that fact either. I would prefer a metallic color theme. When I think metallic, I think Silver/Black/Gray/GoldenYellow/Bronze with some kind of light Reflection/Refraction effect. Choose whatever colors you think will make your design stand out and aim for something a bit more modern and a bit more hip - compared to the MediaCaption logo, that is. Target audience would be advertising agencies and film & television post-production companies. If you want to learn about this industry, just google "closed-captioning" and you'll get a pretty good idea. An accurate Industry description would be Film/Video & TV Post Production services. Well, I believe that's it for now. Hopefully you have enough information to come up with something really cool. I'm not sure what other information might be helpful but feel free to email me at skilanko at sbcglobal dot net if you have any questions. Good luck and have a fun time designing! Samson
