Signifyd
Signifyd is a web application (SaaS) that uses the social graph and dozens of other datasources to analyze e-commerce transactions and prevent fraudulent purchases. Our two target markets are small businesses (SMBs) who need help identifying fraudulent transactions and large corporations that want to reduce the amount of time that their fraud analysts spending researching suspicious transactions.
We are looking for a modern logo to improve on the existing one that includes some sort of icon whether it is a pictoral mark or an abstract symbol. We would like to use the icon for a favicon and also have something that could translate to an app icon.
When we describe what our app does, we talk about how we can use a person's social footprint/fingerprint to prove their identity. If this can be incorporated in the mark, that would be great. However keep in mind that this has to be able to scale smaller. Regardless of whether this is possible, we want our brand (and therefore our mark) to be associated with: intelligence (as it's used Central "Intelligence" Agency), fraud prevention, the social graph, online identity, and advanced technology. However, we are opposed to using a shield or lock/key in the design.
The most important part of this logo to us is the typography. We want a logotype that can stand alone or with the mark and be distinguishable as our brand. Think Visa or facebook.
