logood is a very talented designer! He has very fine taste and clever concepts. logood makes this iterative process very pleasant by being very attentive and responsive. Although, from in my case, he was able to produce the winning concept (by a long shot) on his FIRST submitted design. :P

Weathermatic is a leading provider of landscape irrigation products and services. While we have been a manufacturer of sprinkler products for more than 65 years, we have recently innovated our industry to provide water-saving irrigation controllers that save 20-60% in landscape water. We have also built a web-based application that allows landscape contractors to control irrigation systems remotely (saving trips) and property owners to see their water savings in reports, alerts, etc. via the web. This new product is called "SmartLink" and you can read about it here... http://www.smartlinknetwork.com.
We sell first to large commercial property owners and managers who want to reduce the cost of their irrigation water. We also sell to landscape contractors who are installing these products and managing the irrigation on behalf of the property owners.

Uploaded some of the existing logos.
Here is our company purpose statement:
"To be an inspired community of people creating water-conserving innovation that enables us to reward our people and be generous towards those in need."
The logo should communicate sustainability and water conservation.
While Weathermatic is the logo to be created, there should be consideration to how the sub-brands correlate to the new logo. For instance, how would "SmartLink" logo correlate to Weathermatic company brand.
Consider incorporating some form of the "bug" in the current logo as it has been carried through 65 years and has brand equity in the irrigation industry.
