FIRST NOTE: The name of the brand is: La Cocinera Plantada which means The Planted Cook The tagline means: I harvest, you cook. This brand is about selling healthy Plant-Based recipes in a box with all the ingredients portioned and the instructions included so the customer will cook from scratch. The objective is for the customers to adopt a meatless day, or ideally a meatless diet seeing how easy and delicious it is to cook meals with plants. Big companies already doing this are Purple Carrot, Hello Fresh!, etc. Currently in Mexico there is not much competition, but there is a great demand for vegetarian, vegan and plant based meals, mostly amongst the hipster younger millennial market. Logo should be distinctive and quite explanatory, fun and memorable. TARGET AUDIENCES: Mainly 25-45 year old women or men too, with high purchasing power, who want to transition from vegetarian to vegan, it also reaches out to the omnivore audience looking for a more healthy, natural and environmentally friendly way of eating as part of their daily life. One of the requirements is that they like to cook. This brand is all about being caring about the environment, loving to cook, should be fun and bold. Please, no need to relate Mexico to the brand at all. I just mentioned it because even if this concept of service is very common in Europe and USA, in this part of the world not so yet. Industry Food Services IDEAS: We have *two* centric ideas of what this logo could be, there is even an attached plain pencil sketch for one of these ideas. Idea 1: Since the name of the logo means The Planted Cook (female): A woman cook (could be me characterized since I am the cook and face of the company) holding an oversized root vegetable that has just been harvested and still has some dirt falling off, thinking about a pictorial illustrative logo design, it could be vintage, or real-life like or comic like as long as it is clear and beautifully done. There is a sample below of the Rumpus Room, it should not have to be copied but it is an idea to play with. Idea 2: Plant Based food is all about a combination of vegetables, and nuts, and fruits so there is a lot to work from. Botanical art has a way of depicting these elements beautifully, botanical art goes with vintage style, with fluid fonts, calligraphic and vintage. It could be a box (delivery box) with vegetables coming out of it, or same as idea 1 with a more vintage/retro look. Attached below there is a sample of the Brisbane Barkery logo, which is obviously another line of business, its just a sample of colors and array that I like and provides a retro feel. I found that 99designs has lots of botanical inspired logos: https://en.99designs.com.mx/inspiration/logos/botanical The palette I have been working on for the Instagram moodboard is: a dark teal, dark gray, off-white and probably will add an eggplant shade. So this would be the colors to play around with. Since I will be working on a stamp, I also need the logo to be clear and not too complex so it will look fine when stamped with one ink. Logo will be used digitally as well as printed so it cannot be too complex, it should have the ability to be displayed even as a favicon (at least part of it, eg. the main character if it is an illustration) What to avoid? the cliches of plant based equals green. I've seen so many vegan food related logos and green is always there, the cliche of the veggies coming out of a basket. The forks in the logo. Sprigs. These elements I'd like to avoid. Again, I am open for creative ideas, there are at least 200,000 plants that are edible for humans and plants are color! so I could always use a colorful logo for my electronic media and then have a 1 color version for the printed.
Other color requirements
These are the colors I've chosen: Pantone HEX: TEAL: 1B7883 COOL GRAY 63666A TOFU E8E4DA EGGPLANT 623F4C
