Wow Dian, I'm super impressed! I work with designers almost every day and this was by far the best design process ever, really top-notch work and extremely fast. You even went above and beyond providing extra logo variations that I might need, which is really thoughtful. I'll definitely be contacting you for apparel designs next. It's only been 2 days since we started working together, but it's been truly a pleasure. Thanks again!
Footstep is a real professional, and delivers high, thoughtful design. We look forward to working with him further!
How Red Ant Lasers started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We would prefer a logo that incorporates an ant that can be used without the company name and still be recognizable but we are open to alternate ideas. Text-only logos, while often very elegant, are not likely to win.
We create hobbyist fabrication tools. Our first product is a portable laser cutter and etcher. Laser cutters/etchers are common devices and can be found quite easily by a quick Google search. Our target audience consists of architects, artists, engineers, garage mechanics, teachers, crafters, libraries, and anyone who creates things in their home. We are also targeting the in-classroom education market.

Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We would like our logo to be a simple design that's easy to reproduce in embroidery, silkscreening for t-shirts, as well as to be laser cut. This means it should probably be a vector type line-drawing. We are leaning away from cartoon-y or juvenile designs. We also prefer clean over cluttered. We're interested in your perspective on this because we don't have a specific look or design in mind.
