Working with traffikante was awesome in that she was very responsive and had many different ideas fairly quickly. Most of our critiques were received well and new versions of what we had asked for, and even ones that we didn't where she would take it upon herself to share her creativity, helped give us more ideas than we thought of. 5/5 would work with again :) Thanks so much!
Excellent designer, understood everything we wanted and went beyond that to make it even better. Hopefully we will collaborate again someday!
We are extremely grateful for the clean design! It was exactly what we were looking for.

This is an app that people can use to record where they are going and when they are expected back. If they do not "checkin" by the expected time, the app alerts their friends.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?

The logo is in the "Dating" industry, because people going on dates could use this app when going out with people they do not know.
Athletes could also use the app for when they are going on long activities.
The logo should convey a positive message of security - you are in good hands because your friends know where you are.
I included an image with some blues and green colors that are my first choice. There is another image with blues and oranges, that is a second choice for a color palette.
I've thought of two potential directions for the logo. One would be an "OK" sign (forefinger and thumb making a circle), drawn in a calligraphy style. Possibly a check could be incorporated. I've added an example, the one with the buildings around the outside of the blue circle. My thought is that instead of buildings, it would be fingers, with the circle made by the thumb and forefinger. And to be clear, I don't want the buildings/windows in the logo, just fingers :)
The second possibility could be the word "Checkin" with a checkmark incorporated into one of the "c"s or the "k".
A third possibility is the green circle with the check in 'negative'. I think that's a fun concept - working in negative.
I like the way the Blu Dental example seems to use a calligraphy pen for the graphic. There are two other examples that incorporate the concept of location with a check.
