We got an illustrator to do the art work for his blog and social media designs. It is in Leonardo Da Vinci style sketches, with possible a yellow notepad type "paper" background. His interests are also illustrated in a sketch doodle type style. If it could more or less fit with that type of direction it would be great. I was thinking of either having his full name or just KG. I am open to suggestions. Three elements must be incorporated - one upward facing triangle symbolising impinging communication, one downward facing triangle symbolising getting down to the truth and find the correct why, and gears symbolising systemising and formulating processes.
The most important thing to be instantly communicated by the logo is INTELLEGENCE. It must come across as intelligent - that is why we went for Da Vinci type illustrations. However, it must still come across as CASUAL, WARM HUMAN - NOT CORPORATE.
Tone/Manner – real, no-BS, matter-of-fact, warm, caring, intellectual, high-quality, professional, high IQ.
Font - Intelligence, casual, not cold or corporate, but still professional.
Copy Style – witty, matter-of-fact and regular-guy “narrative” style – it’s humorous because of how real and matter of fact the content is, without ever coming across like the writer is trying hard to be funny. Similar to the opening narrative in the 2008 movie Wanted by the lead character Wesley Gibson. There are many movies/tv-series that use this kind of narrative.
What to Avoid – NOT corporate, NOT business, NOT loud, NOT pretentious, NOT trying hard to be anything, NOT unprofessional, NOT stupid.
NB - You are encouraged to use "draft lines" as part of the design to convey the idea of thinking intelligence.
