latershare.com logo competition briefing
latershare (http://latershare.com) is a new, ambitious communication web platform that just launched in a friends & family beta version.
The logo & icon quest
The current latershare logo is only a draft.
We are looking for a logo that contains an icon and the word "latershare".
The icon should also be usable plain-colored and should persist next to the icons of other communication types that are listed in one of our teaser graphics:
The icon is probably the challenging part of this logo request. There is a chance to invent an icon that will stand for a new communication paradigm, next to the "@", the twitter bird and others. We will work hard to gain visiblity.
The logo should be suitable
- online, on the website, with and without the tagline
- offline, in offline adverts, business documents (stationery, envelopes, business cards etc)
- with a .com domain attached
We prefer bold over thin fonts. The Arial rounded of the current draft logo is not set, we will adjust the font of the homepage teaser images to the logo font.
The word "latershare" should not be broken up in two parts. A different coloring of "later" and "share" would be ok, but it is not a must.
Regarding style and color, the logo should fit into the existing website design.
We want to keep the blue, "handwritten" tagline that uses the ArdleysHand font. It's content will probably change from time to time. You do not have to include the tagline in your logo proposals.
The latershare Concept
At latershare everyone can get access to a round of feedback - without registration, at any time. It only takes a minute. The responses of the users are put into closed, virtual envelopes on the server.
The contents will only be visible when
a) all users have posted or
b) a time limit is reached.
They will only be shared with a defined user group. The communication service provided by latershare.com solves many problems (e.g. influence, originality, time needed for organisation) in a new way and allows an abundance of possibilities for use (e.g. voting, valuing, pitches...).
