Building Better Stories
The Foundry is a communications and public relations firm that aims to help military- and veteran-oriented businesses and organizations tell their stories. It was started in spring 2020 with an eye to breaking through cost-barriers that make communicating in earned media nearly impossible for new-comers. The name is a nod to the collaborative creation process and to the founder's roots in coal and steel country.
The idea behind this brand is two-fold: (1) its meant to describe the shared act (between the publicist and the client) of building a platform for new ideas and -- especially -- solutions for persistent problems, (2) it's meant to be a nod to my grandfathers, both of whom worked for energy companies -- one as a welder and one as a coal miner.
