Chef Carrie got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo for Trendy Gourmet Personal Chef

I am a personal chef. People hire me to come cook in their homes for special events, when they rent a ski house and want to stay in, cooking classes or a weekly custom meal plan. I prefer the California-style cuisine with a flair of Spanish or Asian. But I don't want the logo to look like I only do chinese food and lose potential business. I was a professional chef and work in some popular place in San Francisco. I was even lucky enough to cater a Hollywood crew party for the Matrix 2 and 3 crew. What a night! I am starting this new business on my own and hope to get a strong following and maybe have enough to open a small restaurant one day. I cook because I LOVE food and I love pleasing people with a great meal! Their smiles at the end of the night is all I need to keep me going.
My audience is 35 - 65 years old. Upper middle class. (Starting income of $80,000 plus) In the summers, my audience is Double income no kids and fun hip well to do singles that love to throw a nice wine dinner party or a sushi making class. In the winters, my market are people who rent vacation homes in the ski resorts and want to hire a chef to cook at the home instead of getting a reservation every night. I also have a local market that have me cook for their holiday parties. My audience knows good wine and good food. In short, they pick a menu and I come in to cook, serve and clean after myself.
I need a logo & business card that will make an impression. It will be on my business card, website, and will need to look great on a chef jacket and my menus. Colors: I naturally love fall colors. Burgundy, Deep Red, Rust Orange, Bronze, Sage Green. I am open to other suggestions. But absolutely no pastels or bright neon colors. I want the logo to look good on white as well as a burgundy or reddish brown background. My chef jackets are white or black, depending on the time of year and party. The company name is Mixx Cuisine. Mixx doesn't really mean anything. To me Mixx cuisine means that I cook a fusion of mixx international foods. A mixx of good food, friends and wine = a great party! You can focus on Mixx alone if it helps with the creativity but then a tag underneath needs to say "Cuisine by Carrie". Or if you can make "Mixx Cuisine" look great together. You are the talent. Surprise me! I am looking forward to finding a great logo. Think NYC or LA. No cute animation please!
