How Axel F started their logo design journey

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
boxfuse is a SaaS product (online account + downloadable client) that lets you turn your software into very simple and very compact virtual machines. These virtual machines can then run identically, either on your local machine or in the cloud. This simplifies development, testing and deployment by completely eliminating the differences between environments. boxfuse achieves this by eliminating everything, except for the bare minimum required to run your application. It distills a server to its purest essence. The product has a strong focus on simplicity (it just works), singularity (one universal virtual machine instead of distinct environments), efficiency (it is very fast, and the output is very small) and security (the less you have, the less can break).
The logo should be usable both with and without the inscription boxfuse. It can use color, but should also work in black & white. It can (but doesn't have to) be a part of the boxfuse word, but it must be able to stand on its own as well. It should be distinctive without the risk of confusion. It should roughly fit in imaginary square bounds (height and width more or less similar, not super wide, not super tall). It can, but doesn't have to, have a friendly touch.
