VotefortheBest.com is looking for a new logo to drive our branding. We are looking to make VotefortheBest.com THE national contest for the best local businesses. As such, the brand needs to look official and important. At the same time we don't want the logo to look too dry and boring. So it needs to have some warmth and maybe even a tinge of sarcasm (i.e. the "the unofficial official contest").
Here is a collection of logos and imagery to help inspire you:
We are looking for creative designs that are inspired by voting motifs. Think voting checkmarks, banners, ballot box, official seals. We are open to different fonts - serif, sans serif and would even be open to a script font (a la Pinterest). In fact, we'd like to see several versions of different fonts used in the designs.
Please do not go too patriotic with the logo design. Voters are mainly voting on restaurants (i.e. Best Pizza, Best Sushi, etc.), so we don't want first time visitors to think they are visiting a political site. Plus, we would like to go international with this concept, so the design shouldn't be entirely American themed.
With that said, we would like to lean towards blues, tan, white and maybe use red and dark grey as accents. We are also open to a bit of a vintage feel, but not too much. It would be great if the logo could feel a bit vintage, but modern at the same time.
Again we are looking for creativity here, so please use these guidelines as starting points - not strict guidelines. If you have a good idea that is outside our guidelines, don't let us limit you - we'd love to see your concept!
