How Myhandyhusbandlac started their logo & hosted website journey
Who are you known as?
My Handy Husband LAC or MHHlac
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I am a handyman of all trades of the home ie, fixes and repairs in plumbing, electrical, landscaping building and remodeling. I want to focus on middle / middle upper class single moms or families that don't fix there homes or do maintenance themselves.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
The logo needs to emanate maturity, and give the impression of trust and confidence to the audience.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the logo and hosted website?
Customer interactive site that allows them to create an estimate of work by clicking different odd job tasks. Much like a shopping cart and be able able to "checkout" When submitted it would create a job form for me to print off and use for guidance lines. The point of this is to eliminate time costly job walks in items that are repeated over and over from customer to customer. It will also provide a sense of stability and standard for customers to know I'm not just talking high prices hoping they are willing to pay. Each item or job they choose should have a small description of work included and a basic time estimate for completion.
I assume I will be required to create and fill in these fields, I just want the website to be able to do what I have in mind. There will be several hundred of these selectable odd jobs.
I would think a testimonials page and pictures before and after page would also be nice.
The home page should feel welcoming and have the mission statement and my guarantees. It should also scroll through photos I place into the site of competed work, and have obvious places to click to get where you want to go.
Each page should have a menu icon that will take you to any other page, a shopping cart icon of some sort, an "email your husband" icon that will send me emails about questions. And a scrolling of photos of completed work. Page 2 would be the selection of odd jobs categorized by the trade then frequency of use. ie, plumbing as a header and then listings under plumbing jobs to be selected, electrical as another header, windows, kitchen, bathroom, landscape, gutters, ect... Page 3 would be a property location and house description, and contact information requiring email and phone number with names and a comments section for special circumstances. Page 4 would be a calendar of my current availability and they can select a date for the job to be completed. Page 5 would be a subtotal and checkout page to process the order that auto emails them an order summery with cost totals and copy of my insurance certificate.
