Eduvia got their new app design by running a design contest:
Design for our new harbor discovery app
Check out Eduvia's App design contest…
The Norwegian cost line is filled with small islands and fjords that make great destinations for day trips of over night stays with boats. Please see the attached photos of boats anchored on an island to get an idea of what this looks like. We are making an app that lets boat owners discover new safe natural harbors and share their knowledge of previous visited harbors with the community. It's also possible to see where friends have anchored so you can join them. We would prefer Sketch files over PSD for the deliverables
We want this app to be a friendly community, similar to AirBnB. The style should be modern and simple to use.
Please see the attached sketches! Harbor discovery page: This page is primarily a map where existing harbors and friends anchorages are shown. when clicking on a harbor a harbor details page is shown with information about the harbor such as name, images, amenities (like beach, wc, trash cans, mooring bolts, shore power, water, fuel and shopping). At the end of the page there is a review section with review from previous visitors. Check in and out wizard: When a user checks in to or out of a harbor wizard guides them through a couple of steps: If the location does not exist in the database the user has to fill out name of the location, what amenities the location have, and optionally add a picture. If the location exists the user is just checked in. When checking out the app asks about how the stay was, specifically what the wind condition was, if the user wants to upload a picture of the place, and if he wants to leave a review. Friends page: The friends page is a list over previously added friends. The list contains profile pictures, name, and information about last check in (location, date and distance from current position). When a friend is selected their profile page is shown. This has a larger profile picture, name, boat info (like draft, size and speed), and a timeline of places the friend has visited. It should also be a button to add new friends. This is done by searching for their names. The user can select a person it wants to be friends with and a friend request is sent to the other user. Just like on Facebook. Profile page: This page is exactly the same page as the friends profile page, but the user is able to edit the information here.
