UPDATED -I'm working with a building contractor who has 2 separate areas of business (general remodeling and earthquake proofing) and separate, very different, logos for each. He wants me to design his home page to highlight both areas and logos. The designers who submitted ideas earlier have done a great job combining the 2 logos (as he had indicated he wanted) in the first days of this contest. However, after taking top 8 designs for him to see, he said he really wanted the logos separated more, completely. Therefore, I've been granted a couple days extension of the contest in hopes of getting a design that reflects these new requirements. I'm including 2 of the original files of the logos as well as 2 new files - a second sample of the house logo, a title file - which he has had professionally created and therefore wants to use with little change. I am including 2 new files of 2 rough configurations showing ideas of how he'd like them separated. I'm having a hard time "seeing" anything that can be asthetically pleasing so, although these are rough designs, if you see a more creative way to display the 2 area, please go for it. The finished design I hope to get is each logo and it's tagline ("your safety is our top priority" for the faultline logo and either "we build dreams" or "design and remodeling contractors" for the house logo) somehow divided on the page (besides by just white space). I will add navigation, possibly across the top or between the two sections, and content like the list of services. I just included the list and the header in the configurations for you to see. Since the "faultline" area is new to the business, he wants it to appear first (or on the left in the configurations). This business is in the Northwest US so protection against earthquake damage is always a concern. Although the 2 mockups are somewhat primative, I think the contractor would be open to more creative ideas as long as the design is clean and simple.
I really appreciate everyones effort and previous submissions. I will be communicating with the client as designs are submitted so we'll be on track throughout the process this time.
