Skipper is a children’s book that was written by our mother over fifty years ago. It tells the story of an awkward boy who was allowed by angels to be born into the world with the ability to fly—or to transport himself. This was because of the difficult circumstances into which he would be born. He started life in an orphanage and had many interesting experiences relating to his ability to fly—an ability he was required to hide from everyone around him. This ability remained with him until he reached his early teenage years. We have no preconceived idea of how the cover should look except that it should be somewhat whimsical—as appropriate for children—and that the boy should not be depicted with wings.
