Design for chocolate banana puffs. Simple shapes and unexpected bold colors lend a sense of fantasy and playfulness.

I approached the brief's call to incorporate nature by looking for mascot animals and sketching possibilities. Looking into bananas, I saw that they float, and the idea of a banana boat stuck with me as something suitably weird yet understandable. I initially landed on a tiger as a mascot animal, but changed this to a gorilla based on feedback from the client.

The main challenge was coming up with a color palette that met the requirements for yellow/brown (banana and chocolate) without it feeling conventional.
