This was a challenge because it’s a non-fiction book, a correspondence of two authors. First I found their face silhouettes and added them to the bodies in typing position facing each other, also added a mirrored old typewriter. It turned out that the mirrored typewriter formed some kind of a monster, so I added the teeth and some tentacles into the background. I didn’t want to stick to already known Cthulhu because it’s not only about Lovecraft, so this invented monster has some reference to it, but it is a “love child” of two authors. Some of the tentacles form a subtle heart shape. I kept the cover fairly dark, but made some bursts of red colour. I chose thick, tall and pointy font to give some reference to horror, but also added some sharp accents to it to stand out more.
