Unless you have some really great idea we want to keep the color scheme from dvc.org. 99% that we need the logo to be compatible with the website.

We want a cool, simple and memorable logo. It should look great in different variations (e.g. full logo, icon, b&w, stickers, swag, etc.). A good example for us here is GitHub and their Octocat logo.
When our original DVC letters logo was made, it reminded us of an owl. We were thinking of using the owl as our mascot. There are so many owl mascots out there that we need to stand out somehow=)
As an idea to try - please take an owl attached and try to make a real logo - so that it looks good in monochrome, different sizes, with and w/o DVC text, etc.
Still we are open for other awesome ideas!
