RTI sells real-time messaging software. Our software serves as the infrastructure for distributed mission-critical applications ranging from automotive, financial, industrial, military and medical systems.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We want to create a t-shirt culture at RTI where with every significant event - product release, brand launch, design win, etc., we provide our staff with a cool/unique/arty coveted t-shirt. We do not want a standard corporate logo t-shirt but rather a cool design that team members will want to wear and that will start a conversation.
This t-shirt design will celebrate a major software product release. Internally the name for the project is "Lola." Lola is a mountain in the California Sierras as well as a woman's name. (It's also a name of a Kink's song regarding a transvestite - don't want any imagery along these lines unless it's not literal.) You could use illustrative imagery around the mountain theme but not in a corporate, climb to the of the summit, type of way. You could use imagery around a woman's name or the song (in a non-literal way). It's important to use the word "Lola" on the shirt. Also include "http://www.rti.com," but no logo. We want a colored t-shirt not white but we are pretty wide open besides that. Another option is to include a nod to "Lola" from the Barry Manilow song - but in a cool, not cheesy way. Maybe an impressionistic image of a woman with fruit on her head? We want graphic/illustrative imagery. Be creative. Think cool, unique, hipster, etc.
These t-shirts will be worn by primarily male software engineers but will also include a few women (can't be demeaning in any way). Age ranges from early 20s to 30s. All are highly educated, (masters, PhDs). Most are located in California. Like the style of concert posters.
