Bike Walk 2012 - Street Solutions

This is a website for several bike and pedestrian path projects which are currently in the planning phase - (not being built yet).

The site name is Bike Walk 2012 Street Solutions. There are two temporary logos attached in PNG format, and you are welcome to use either in your design. I have also attached a draft of the site name - you can riff on the name any way you see fit.

This site uses good clean clear design. This web site (for which you are submitting your design) is in collaboration with the above web site, so similar look/colors would be good but is not mandatory.

We don't like the visual design of the site below but it will give you a good example of the type of content we will have:

The new web site has two target audiences: 1) the stakeholders in the projects and 2) general public who are interested in the projects.

The primary goal of the web site is to inform viewers of the status and progress of the projects.

Attached are wireframe drafts of the two pages we would like. This is what we are aiming for, but we are also open to other ideas regarding layout.

The main/home page will have a dynamic map showing all project areas, allowing drill-down to the project pages. Each project will have its own page, displaying project info including a detailed map and project-specific news items and downloadable documents.

We would like two pages:
1) a home page with placeholder for a map, and
2) a project page as described above

The web site will be built using drupal. Your job, should you choose to accept it, is to supply graphics we can use to create the drupal theme.

Key attributes of the design we desire:
- balance: good visual appeal with good use of white/blank space
- use the colors supplied in the attached JPG (color_blocks.jpg)
