See design brief .pdf for formatted description.
We are looking for a designer who is extremely creative and understands both User Experience and has great design skills. The pages we are creating should be intuitive and visually stunning. We want an interface that will work on both the web and an ipad. We need
1) A sample Card
2) Main Interface where the cards will be place
3) Profile Page (Using Template Header & Footer)
Circles – There is a strong circles theme, so please feel free to incorporate the concept of circles into your design. I have included “inspiration” images that represent either a site that is doing a good job or bad job with the design/interface.
Page 1: Card Interface - see sample_card.png below...It is my attempt at what design might look like. Do not copy me...Create something much better!
This is not exactly a “Page”, but more like a page element. It is a quick way to find a lot out about a person very quickly without using up a lot of space.
The virtual card will have both a “front” and “back”. We are very flexible in terms of how both the front & back of the card look/laid out. The user’s image can take up any amount of the front of the cards. We also want to have an overlay so that if you click on the front of the card more information about the person will be viewable. We are looking at a really clean, simple and elegant design for the card. Here are some sample card layouts. Be creative! This is for a professional service, I have supplied some sample people images you can use to for the card.
The back side of the card should have charts & badges that help explain more about the user. The look & feel should be consistent with the front of the card.
The cards will be arranged on Page 2: Main Interface
Page 2: Main Interface Page
The left column (area with orange background) is a mini dashboard that will slide in and out. So there should be a “tab” on the left side of the page where if the user clicks on it the left “bar” will slide out. There are 3 section. Each section should be separate from the other two.
Page 2 Continued: Header, Sub-navigation & Footer
We should be able to use header & footer throughout the site. The header is really just a navigation menu. Again this should be easy to use & understand. Some of the main navigation items will have submenus that will be represented across the top of the screen.
Page 2 Continued: Sidebar:
Template for our Sidebar
Twitter Sidebar: Look at twitter for simplicity and sidebar. There is no need for instructions because the interface and concept are so simple to follow.
LinkedIn sidebar: I like the rounded corners with the drop shadow.
Page #3: Profile Page
We are very open to how the user profile is displayed. I want to see the user surrounded by topics & images that are relevant to them. Again this should be very visual. If you can incorporate the “circle” theme that would be great. Using images rather than text to represent each category.
