How Nikos_stergiou started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Through our website we wish to provide a group buying platform by integrating a set of e-tools, in order, active or potential consumers to negotiate as a group and finally optimize the price/quality ratio of their purchases. Through a friendly and easy to use environment, we aim to change consumers' perception about online shopping experience but more importantly about their power.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
http://www.sportmeets.com: We like the approach...home page + sign up + navigation through categories + details where needed, all in the same page.
With first look you can understand what the site does by simply see the rolling pictures and the text line. If you want more you simply scroll the bar down.
- www. markafoni.com: we like also this approach..in one page the sign up + what it does, simple and direct
- Online auctions site like Ebay : we want also see this approach as an alternative. The reason is that people shopping online already are used to this design approach... It would be better if this design approach could be combined with sportmeets approach. So... the home page like sportmeets and beneath presentation of products like ebay or other online auction sites
1. Home Page: like the home page of sportsmeet.com. A small panel which will explain our concept and a login/register panel.
2. Request Page (see http://clustericus.com/RecentlyAdde…ests.aspx). Request Serach, recently added requests. Something like front page of e-bay where the user can search for requests and recent in clustericus like it is "popular on ebay"
Important: Pages 2,3,4 will have 3-column template.
In these 3 pages there will be a general search field/button, a header menu with some options and columns in the right/left side with other options. Footer will be present in all 4 pages.
We want the design to be simple but trendy and pleasant for the user.
Keep in ming to use the colors of the logo (blue-orange) and avoid two many color combinations.
For sure, we DO NOT want to have a Groupon/Daily Deals like site.
Our target audience: People that are used to make "in depth" market search before shopping online. Both genders - age 18-55, familiar with social networking tools.
Our competition: Online auctions sites, Groupon-Daily Deals like sites. We wish to be supplementary to price aggregators.
