We are an Urban Apparel E-commerce and we specialize in Men's footwear but also have Women's footwear. All of our products are brand name and top quality and new. We offer merchandise from Nike, Converse, UGG, Timberland, Adidas, etc.
1. www.toms.com - love the simplicity and the way the background makes for images that pop 2. www.footlocker.com - lots of options are good and i like the display on the homepage. i think this site is too cluttered though. 3. www.pickyourshoes.com - i like the simplicity of this site. I like that the images pop and you can navigate easily. It's SEO friendly. Lots of images that link to products. It's not too dark or too light and the colors aren't boring.
For the homepage - showcases our newest items and our most discounted items or any new deals we want highlighted. It MUST be SEO friendly (have 187 kb html max, not white text on a black background, etc.). It MUST be user-friendly. We want a site that will make conversions and attract new customers as well as keep old ones. Users/Shoppers should feel comfortable on the site. TRUST is key. We will have a SSL certificate that needs to be shown on the homepage. There will also be the brands we offer, the methods of payment that we accept, a line that says "We offer free shipping to the continental U.S." We have a logo that we will provide. There will also be ad-looking images that direct users to specific catalog or product pages. Catalog pages - these pages list the items we have in stock. The goal is to make users feel excited to be browsing through our catalogs of items. Product pages - these pages highlight the individual item that the user has clicked to view. It should accentuate the product that is being viewed. Informative pages - these are pages that explain our policy, the about us page, etc. They will have ad-like images like the ones described in homepage. All the pages should have a common footer and header. Typical for e-commerce sites. For example the www.pickyourshoes.com website. The logo in the header, the search bar, the log-in, the subscription function, social media, shopping cart, customer service. The footer has the informative page links, the help section, social media in text rather than logos(images like the header), and the accepted payment methods and security certificates, and a subscribe button. Please AVOID flash. The site needs to look good on monitors, tablets, and phones.
Audience is affluent, mostly urban but some suburban, mostly sporty, men and women, ages 18 - 38, high school education+, want to stay in fashion, try to stay in shape/exercise, like a good deal on what they are buying
