How mscullin started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Lighten Up 4 Life
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Lighten Up 4 Life is a community wellness program/platform that is sponsored by community hospitals. The program/platform provides communities with a program that they can use to lose weight, get fit, and healthier. Participants use the free resources: recipes, exercises, tips, and they can track their progress. The program runs in 3 sessions per year. At the end of each session, teams and individuals are awarded prizes for losing the most weight, and accumulating the most exercise minutes. Hospitals sponsor the programs as a way to provide health information to residents in their community and to direct them to health resources.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
More modern, rounded corners, clean looking, white background, bright colors, family feel, people being active, healthy food, community-oriented. See the existing thematic concept document. Graphic symbols to represent food, exercise, etc.
Homepage - see attached homepage layout document. Homepage would contain a banner (like the one on the layout document - but this should be in a blue tone to match the Lighten Up Onslow logo that is attached) & one internal page which would contain the top of the homepage - name of the program (Lighten Up Onslow, tagline, progress tracker, social media buttons, hospital logo (attached) The homepage should be used to introduce the program and all of the resources that the program provides
What to avoid
No browns, or "dirty colors"
This is a fun program used by residents in the community to lose weight, get fit, and learn how to adapt a healthier lifestyle. It has been used by 20 hospitals across the country and has been very successful, but it the look needs to be modernized.
