We grow fresh air. We provide homeowners with indoor hydroculture (soil-free) plants that scrub toxins from the air. We also provide opportunities for reps who want to make extra money by selling our products.
http://www.willowhouse.com/ - simple navigation, green feel. Big campaign area w/ 3 column layout. http://biltmoreinspirations.com/ - simple navigation, nice imagery, clear calls-to-action. NextDayBlinds.com - This is the website that I like best. Our product is an upscale product, where people can purchase it online, or request a consultation, or learn more “How It Works.” Eventually, we’re going to open up Showrooms for people to visit and speak to a Professional, but in the meanwhile, I think it looks good. In short, we’re a hybrid company. Let me explain, We’re a Social Selling company using Professionally Trained Experts to sell plants in people’s homes, participate in networking events, setting up plant parties and eventually selling from a Showroom.
1. Homepage. Should have large campaign area with three individual slides. Navigation should be horizontal across the top. The area beneath the campaign should be separated into three equally-sized columns, each with a goal / call-to-action which will correspond exactly with the three slides in the campaign area. The goals are as follows :: 1) shop online (links to the shopping area), 2) free consultation (language may say something to the effect of "Meet with an expert for free"), 3) become a rep (for recruiting). The slides in the campaign area will have these exact same goals and link to the same pages as the columns below-the-fold. The slides in the campaign however should provide more detail than the smaller column-areas below-the-fold. For instance, the below-the-fold column for "Shop Online" may just read "Shop Online" and have a call-to-action. Whereas the corresponding slide in the campaign area may say, "Find Dozens of Plant Varieties & Enjoy Free Shipping When You Buy Direct!" or something to that effect. If you think the layout may look better some other way after having read this, feel free to propose it. Overall, homepage and site as a whole should be clean, uncluttered, simple, friendly, "Green" and environmentally-conscious. The homepage specifically should feature large, high-resolution imagery of cool looking plants (we have tons of imagery we can use). Navigating the site should be easy & intuitive. 2. Interior page. The interior page will allow you more room to be creative. What we were thinking is pretty simple... nice big headline, easy-to-read fonts & line-lengths, and an area on the sidebar for call-outs. We will ultimately make these call-outs easy to rotate in & out, but for the time being, we can start with three, which mimic the homepage call-outs exactly (i.e. one for 'shop online', one for 'free consultation' and one for 'become a rep'. Some imagery of plants should certainly be incorporated as well. The company logo, tagline & phone number should be featured at the top of each page, both on the homepage & interior.
Our Target audience will find us from Consultants who tell people to visit the website and people hearing about us in Press Releases and people searching online. Our clients range from Middle to Upper Class, Homeowners, Living in Urban areas age between 30 to 55+ a combination of Male (30%) and Female (70%) We’re perceived as a Green Technology Company, but we need to be perceived as a friendly company with helpful consultants who will help people make their homes more beautiful with plants that Grow Fresh Air naturally.
