Lucie Faulerová, born in Pardubice in 1989, is a Czech writer, playwright and editor. Her debut novel „Dust Collectors“ was a much-discussed event on the Czech literary scene and is the author's first work to be translated into German. Literary critics have compared her writing to that of star poet Melissa Broder and feminist theorist and visual artist Audrey Wollen, creator of „Sad Girl Theory“.

28-year-old Anna lives alone in an apartment full of knickknacks that collect dust. Only her work at the call center or meetings with her sister Dana intermittently break her stream of sardonic soliloquies. Haunted by a demonic world of thoughts that keeps her dying in different ways, Anna struggles against her traumatic past, which is gradually revealed. But nothing is certain in this book: memory and fantasy, past and present, truth and lies blur, and a narrator keeps speaking out, constantly contradicting Anna's version of events. A dizzying novel full of anger and wit, psychological abysses and sharp-tongued frenzy. With her unconventional, virtuoso language and great narrative skill, Lucie Faulerová succeeds in staging a diseased psyche that won't let you go.
