About us
In english : Yaltik is an activity, ruled into a cooperative, in IT. Specialists and activists of free software and open source, we make on demand Web business applications. We manage our own servers, under open source operating systems. Some of our duties are constituted of IT guidance and project management. Most of our clients come from social economy : non profit organizations and other cooperatives. We are part of this domain and we think free software and social economy share common morals. En français : Yaltik est une activité sous statut de coopérative dans l'informatique. Spécialisés et militants du logiciel libre, nous concevons des applications métiers sur mesure, en mode Web. Nous administrons également nos propre machines, sous des systèmes d'exploitation libres. Certaines de nos missions relèvent du conseil, de la gestion de projet. La majorité de nos clients sont issus du monde associatif ou coopératif, de l'économie sociale et solidaire, secteur dont nous faisons partie et lequel partage un certain nombre de valeurs avec le mouvement du logiciel libre.

In english : Mascots are traditional in the free software's world. We have chosen an animal, the yak, for our company. It's a contraction of Yaltik, as well as an interesting symbol for us. If you choose to use a font, please consider an open source one. Then we can employ it in other company's documents and it will be coherent with our work. En français : Les mascottes sont traditionnelles dans le monde du logiciel libre. Nous avons choisi un animal, le yak, pour notre société. Il s'agit à la fois d'une contraction de lettres de Yaltik et d'un symbole que nous trouvons intéressant. Si vous optez pour une police, merci de considérer une police sous licence libre, afin qu'elle puisse être réutilisée dans les documents que nous produisons et que cela soit cohérent avec notre activité.
