About us
The name “Japorta” comes from combining the words “Japan” and Latin word “porta” which means “gate”. Japorta is a curation website that showcases the high quality products from all around Japan focusing on culture, nature and foods. The website is aimed at both the Japanese domestic market and international market. The website offers regional products such as arts and craft, food, merchandise from Japan, allows the makers, seller, and buyers select items, the curation website not only showcase the great products but also allows customers to purchase them, and helps promote the beautiful products from regional Japan to the world. ーーー Japorta ジャポルタ(ジャパンとラテン語のポルタ(門)との造語) 日本の良質な地域産品の魅力を文化・自然・食と組み合わせたコンテンツで日本国内・海外へと発信するためのキュレーションサイト 本サイトのサービスには「日本産の地域産品（工芸・食べ物・雑貨など）の取り扱い」、「作り手、売り手、買い手がアイテムをセレクトできる」、「良質な日本産品の単なる紹介ではなく、購入場所も判るキュレーションサイト」、「日本産の地域産品の魅力を国内外へと情報発信」というキーワードがある
